Training sets businesses on the right Twitter tracks

in News

We’re hosting another one of our popular workshops. And the topic? Introduction to Twitter.

TWITTER

The aim – to help businesses get to grips with Twitter, and show it’s more than just a way of discovering what your favourite celebrity ate for lunch!

It’s an opportunity to listen, connect and share content with the people that can impact on your business success.

New relationships start online

One in five relationships now start online. Isn’t that what one leading dating website says? Well there’s a world of new relationships out there for businesses too.

Twitter can help build and nurture existing relationships, start new ones, raise profile and communicate brand personality.

And increasingly, it’s a place we simply expect to find brands. Ready and able to communicate 24/7.

Tweeting is here to stay

New social media stats are released all the time.  And with thousands of new accounts set up every day, figures are constantly changing. But with 316 million monthly users and 500 million tweets sent a day Twitter’s not going to vanish overnight.

Social media has become an essential part of today’s PR and communications mix. For any business, big or small.

Listen and learn first

So when an account can be set up in minutes, and tweets published in seconds, is a half day workshop really necessary?

Well the danger of wading in to the Twittersphere before you fully understand how it works, the etiquette, and the do’s and don’ts, could do more harm to your brand than good.

Without wishing to be dramatic, a reputation built up over years could be damaged with one ill-thought Tweet.

Setting a social media strategy

It’s essential to know your way around first. And secondly. You need a strategy (I know, that overused word that The Apprentice candidates weave into every sentence). But it’s true.

We’re not talking anything complicated.  Just a considered approach for how you’re going to use it, why, who you want to talk to and setting goals for what it can (realistically) achieve.

And that’s what our workshops cover.

So if you know your business needs to be communicating on Twitter, but don’t know where to start.   Or just don’t understand what value it can add, get in touch.

We’d love to see you at the next one (biscuits included!)

Our next workshop is on  Thursday 12th November 9:15am – 12:30pm • To enquire or book email daniella@reflectionpr.co.uk or call 01603 219191
