PR puts Baked British Beans back on the map

Our launch PR campaign for Hodmedod told the story of how this Norfolk food business is putting the humble British fava bean back on our plates, by launching the UK’s only brand of Baked British Beans.

To capture interest and secure results, we staged creative photography, engaged with influential bloggers and journalists across food, consumer, news and trade media, issued press releases and samples and offered competition prizes to whet the appetite.

Launching during this year’s National Breakfast Week, we also asked people for their recipe ideas to start a conversation around #britishbeans on social media. Our PR campaign saw Hodmedod achieve widespread coverage, in print and online. Highlights included Grazia Daily, Vegetarian Living, Big Hospitality and blog Amuse Your Bouche to name just a few. Plus the story ran regionally with the EDP, Diss Mercury, ITV Anglia and Radio Norfolk. (You can watch the ITV clip here). The campaign and awareness raised also helped to secure new business for the client, with shops and health food outlets coming forward, wanting to stock the product.
