Fine City, fine dining – Reflection PR launches Norwich’s newest restaurant
We’ve just launched Gali, a unique dining concept for Norwich, with a vibrant opening night party and will be working to establish it firmly on the city’s foodie scene with ongoing social media and PR support.
With twenty years in the business under his belt, local hospitality entrepreneur Mo Ali came to Reflection PR in late spring for support with his newest venture: Gali, Norwich’s first truly fine dining Indian restaurant. With premises secured and menu development underway, our primary objective was to draw attention to Gali and its particular offering, creating future client base. Mo’s personal ambitions include achieving a Michelin star for his food, and he doesn’t shy away from taking a risk so we decided to open the new eatery with a VIP launch on the very first night.
Fast-forward two short months and the restaurant opened to rave reviews, with a full house made up of local businesspeople, media, influencers and a few former Norwich City Football Club players. The invitation-only opening night celebration saw guests treated to the full six-course Tasting Menu experience including dishes including a ‘real’ chicken kurma, Tava Sea Bass and Bazari Duck. Entertainment during the seated dinner was provided by the UK’s leading Bollywood dance troupe, Bollywood Vibes. Guests enjoyed a series of premium wines specially selected by Peter Graham Wines of Wymondham to accompany each course, as well as being among the first to try two craft beers, Tamarind Original and Mumbai Bad Boy, brewed at Eye in Suffolk especially to complement the flavours of Indian cuisine.
“I am so excited to be finally launching Gali – it’s something I have wanted to do for a long time” Mo told us. “My goal is to show off the authentic flavours and recipes of my heritage, as they are experienced in Bangladesh but in a style and setting that puts Gali on the map as one of Norwich’s go-to restaurants for corporate hospitality and guests celebrating with a really special meal.”
